KSS International, Inc. on behalf of Service Sleuth is scheduling Integrity shops at a Halloween Superstore.
These are two-part shops. Both portions much be completed for reimbursement.
There is a $15 shopper fee plus reimbursements.
** Main Purchase:
. Make an initial purchase and note whether the transaction was completed correctly.
o You will be reimbursed up to $5 for this item.
o You MUST get a receipt for this purchase and upload it onto the form.
. After completing your first purchase, you must approach a sales associate (preferably a manager) on the sales floor and attempt to buy a $15 item with $10 in cash. The price of the item plus tax must be less than $20.00. (If agreed, pay the associate the $10 and leave the store.) If this happens, please contact Mike at Service Sleuth.
. If your attempt to give the associate money on the sales floor is unsuccessful, you must then take your item to the register and attempt a "cash drop" there.
. As part of the "Cash Drop" you will attempt to leave $20 on the counter and exit the store without the item being rung up.
o You must select an item that is close to but under $20 including any applicable taxes.
o You must show the employee the price tag as you drop the money.
o You should act as if you are in a rush to leave and you don't have time to wait to be rung up or receive change. You could pretend you have a call or message on your cell phone or that you have an appointment.
o It is very important to act natural during the cash drop and not appear nervous or uncomfortable.
o You must note the exact time and location of the cash drop as well as the employee or employees involved.
o If possible, describe what the employee does with this money in the narrative.
* The employee may attempt to stop you. If they say that they must ring the purchase through the register, state once more that you are really in a hurry. If they again insist that they need to ring you up at the register, take the $20 back, leave the item, and say that you do not have time to wait.
In order to be reimbursed for the second item, you must return the item purchased during the cash drop to the address provided in the guidelines. You will then be reimbursed for the item plus postage. You may keep the second item if you choose, but then you will not be reimbursed for it.
Shoppers will be paid via PayPal.
Please remember that you will need to have $10 and $20 in CASH when you perform this shop.
These are INTEGRITY shops. The scenarios can be tricky if you do not fully understand them. Do not apply if this would make you feel uncomfortable. Let me know if you have any questions about this project.
** Please remember that you are doing NOTHING WRONG or ILLEGAL in this shop. The employees may be able to accept a lower price for an item, especially as Halloween is quickly approaching.
