I work with a company that has several choices for setting up your account with them. One of the ways you can set it up is online and it is a secure website. I am thinking you are probably talking about the company I work with. We no longer can accept prepaid credit cards because people would use those to set up their account and never reload it with money. That caused too many problems for the company so they had to discontinue it. However, you can set it up with your debit card or checking account and then when you place your orders you can use the prepaid Visa as a secondary form of payment. I have been with them for 4 years and have never had anything charged to my account that I did not authorize. I hope this helps you with your decision. Just check with BBB and make sure they are registered and in a rating of at least a B. If it is the same company I am with then the rating is A+ and we have even received the Torch Award from them for Excellence.
Sincerely,

If you need to supply this information for payment, and it's a secure
site, I wouldn't be so concerned. Electronic funds and credit
transactions are the way most businesses operate today. What you might
want to do if you are really concerned, is have a second account opened
at your bank that has a debit/credit card option, and only keep a
limited amount in that account. You can closely monitor your accounts
online as well.
