Re: [SAHM] If it fits you. Let's STOP.

Very very very nicely said Sara!! I've been ready to quit this group b/c of all the negativity. I have actually just been deleting all the emails and not even reading any b/c I didn't want to hear the bashing anymore. Its just not right.

I am a Director with Thirty-One and we have a $99 fee to get started and then we have to do $200 in sales every 3 months to remain active. Until you start building your team then its more. We do have items in "stock" but that's only b/c we do home shows and show them and let our customers feel them.

Every company is different and each company will fit someone differently. We all need support and its great to get it from other stay-at-home moms & dads. Blessings!!

There is so much to say about this whole conversation, but I will not waste my breath. Every business, whether Avon, Amway, Shakley (sp?), Tubberware, Pampered Chef, Scentsy, Creative Memories, and yes, even Melaleuca, have their "business" costs.

All of you people can continue this conversation on and on, finding negetives about Melaleuca, but funny how no one has mentioned start-up costs or member committments of any other businesses out there.

How much are you required to purchase from Mary Kay, Avon, or Creative Memories every month(and I personally know people coming from those businesses who say that you do) ...and then you have to turn around and try to find people to buy it all!?!

Not quite sure what else to say... If all of you people in this "group" are on here to network with other Stay-At-Home-Mommies, don't bash each other's businesses. Aren't we here to encourage the "Stay-At-Home" aspect of the group? If our businesses are crushed by half-truth or false accusations, how can we continue to stay-at-home? Let's admit, someone somewhere out there will always be able to find a way to bash what you are doing. Let this group, who are all fighting every day to build a way to earn from home, not be part of all that.

It is really whatever works for each individual. If you are thrilled to be in Avon or Scentsy, then great! Glad that's working out for you. If Melaleuca is what you feel brings in the best residual income, wonderful! Let's all encourage each other in whatever fits our lives best. Last thing we need is a bunch of child-like snickering stay-at-home Moms and Dads. That will not grow any of our businesses!
