I am going to try to address all the concerns in the different emails I am reading through. Hope this clears up some things.

First of all, Everyone who becomes a melaleuca customer shops online or over the phone. They create a user name and password so that they can sign in and shop for the 30 - 40% off, similar to any online shopping. We do not send people directly to the melaleuca site til we talk to them personally. The reason for that is simply because our products are concentrated and therefore our prices would appear to be higher then the store they shop at if someone who had not been introduced to Melaleuca properly through a rep. You could say it is not apples to apples in pricing so when we get on the phone with someone or meet them in person we explain the differences to them and we give them the website to go to or if we are in person meeting them we let them look at a catalog. That is the only reason we do not just send someone to Melaleucas' website off the bat. Word of Mouth has been proven to be the best way to spread the word. We also get to choose who we work with, so if someone is looking to work the business we want to meet them become acquainted and make sure they would fit in our business. We don't want just anyone signing up , going out and building the business in an unethical way. We meet them, we mentor them and we help them every step of the way. We have to make sure we get along with the individual that we will be in contact with most likely everyday for at least a month. It is different in some other companies because you may have for example baby clothes for sale or gift items or jewelry. You may sell one item or 10 to one person once. We don't sell people the products such as like an avon person or Mary Kay and many others. They go in and shop for themselves. Anyways my point is that we give them the name when we talk with them. That's it. No secret. We love our company. Those items are self explanatory. We can't sell our products in the store nor would we want to because people would see the bottle of laundry detergent or hand soap or toothpaste next to the others and not know the difference but would see a difference in price and wonder why. Another reason also is because we prefer that we set up an account for an individual that we introduced so that we can earn commission, if we sent them to the melaleuca site they could call melaleuca instead and Melaleuca would get in contact with a person closest to them if the person did not know the name of the person who introduced them instead of us getting the credit for it. Just like any work at home business we can't earn an income if people go directly through the company

The only reason these emails are being sent through the group is because this has become or group wide discussion. We are not trying to get more people by doing this. Also I have to point out that the person who asked me for help is a current customer and just asked that I help her figure out the business. She was not asking me to set up her account. She already has one and has been a long standing customer. Just lost contact with people she worked with before.

I don't think that I am getting defensive, I am defending their honor and integrity. I think it is only fair that I should be allowed to address the statements that people have made without others thinking I should not feel that way and if I do that that is a sign to avoid the company. I am very passionate about melaleuca because of how much it has helped my family and others. So I am sorry if it came off as defensive or trying to generate business. Not my intention at all.

Our websites are set up by us personally for marketing. So for example if you see mine in my signature my mentor set it up for me. It is a separate entity. Four Point Group is our support Team. It is where we go for our additional training and schedules and the like. Four Point Group is BBB accredited as a separate company. Therefore we advertise FourPointMoms or consultants depending on the demographic we are looking for. We are not hiding anything.

Ania, What must have happened with your Mom is that she signed up on the last day of the month or just before. We go according to the calendar month for everyone to order. Simply because then everyone would have to remember the exact day of the month they enrolled to order. I don't remember the day of the month I signed up. Every person who has opened an account with melaleuca is supposed to be told about placing an order and if they don't place it on the last day of the month then they have a back up order shipped out. The purpose is to keep the account active and if there is a check being earned then it protects that as well. None of us want any of our customers to get a back up order. We don't get paid on back up orders. We usually help the person with their orders the first and second time. I am not sure why the person who enrolled her did not tell her about that unless there was a language barrier. We teach people how to introduce our company but as the saying goes, You can lead a horse to the water but you can't make them drink. We do NOT have any single bottle of vitamins that is $60. Otherwise I would not be ordering them. What the customer service person most likely meant was that your mother picked the Back up order #1 that has the womens vitamins in it. What that is, is our vitality pack vitamins for women which is 2 bottles($20) plus several other products. I know this because my mom has been a customer for me since I started 4 1/2 years ago. She gets back up orders every once in a while and she has the vitamins on there so if she does forget to place her order or decides to get the back up order she knows she will have her vitamins. You can personalize it any way you want. I personally have never received the back up order because I love shopping with them and get what I need each month that I will be buying anyways.

Thanks for putting up with all these emails and we will try to keep it off the group if we can. it is a little hard because all of a sudden there are 15 emails about it and then we reply and so does several others and we don't see then for as much as 24 hours. So you may get some repeat info from others like me who just want to clear the air.

I completely agree with Pauline. I am a Director with Thirty-One Gifts and if
you go to my website you will see our name is all over the site. I would be
worried about the items I am purchasing. I'm so confused about why you would not
be able to put your company's name on the website. Is the website through the
company or do you have to create one through a different online site? just
curious.

As one who is poor, I don't have the money for this company. You don't spend
more at Walmart. or CVS or Rite aid, I'm sure many people are customers if they
have money. That I am happy for them. Even if I had money to get involved in
the company and spend the monthly, the fact that the website hides the name, or
anyone who has a website that doesn't come out with their company name, I have

Yes you are asked to shop for $50 a month, but it is stuff you are already
purchasing. I was already shopping at walmart. No one made me shop there

but I still have to wash my families clothes, we all take showers, use
deodorant, brush our teeth and clean our house, fix our hair, wear cosmetics and
I have only scratched the surface. They just ask for you to redirect your
spending to them so that we can all have residual income. I spent far more at
walmart for these items, because I also got sucked into the marketing and would
buy things I did not need and the products are very concentrated. I have saved
hundreds of dollars on laundry detergent alone with Melaleuca. I do not think it
is unreasonable for Melaleuca to expect us to be using our own products. They
want us to have integrity, and I for one would not purchase products if the
person who introduced me to the company did not use the products also. We have
many people who are just customers who shop every month, no one makes them, they
can cancel anytime. In fact Melaleuca had a 60 million dollar growth in 2010
over 2009. We are almost a billion dollar company. I think that says a lot for
how much people like our products. I don't feel forced to purchase these
products. I could have cancelled whenever I wanted, however I still needed them
so that makes no sense. I purchase a lot more then they ask me to as well just
like many others within Melaleuca, and not because they force me but because I
have not figured out how to remove that expense from my monthly budget. I have
not figured out how to not clean, shop and take a shower so we could save money.

I hope this clears things up for some people!

I do have a question for those who work with melaluca. In all my searching I
keep running across many different melaluca reps. Why is it, that on the actual
website no one wants to actually say hey this is for Melaluca. All the websites
says is that it is a wellness business. It's almost like they are trying to keep
there name a big secret unless you want to spend the time to call them. Just
curious.
